The breeze swung around the compass today, creating challenges for sailors and race committee alike. While sailable, the shifting winds prevented race officials from fully executing the day's planned schedule.

US Sailing Team athlete Noah Lyons continued to excel in the iQFOiL fleet's slalom racing, scoring a third in the day's only race. Lyons will enter day three with a six-point lead, once again wearing the yellow jersey as the fleet's leader.

In the Last Chance Regatta Men's Formula Kite class, Marcus Edegran scored a 6, 8, and 9 in today's shifty breeze and sits in 6th overall, 5th country. Edegran must finish as one of the top five countries in order to secure his place at Paris 2024.

Paris 2024 selected athlete Ford McCann bounced back from a black flag start (BFD) with a third in the final race of the day. McCann currently sits in 12th overall and the 12th country in the standings. His training partners Leo Boucher and Marshall McCann are moving up the scoreboard, finishing the day in 17th and 19th overall, respectively.

Over at the Qualified Nations (QN) regatta, US Sailing Team 470 athletes Stu McNay and Lara Dallman-Weiss opened their regatta with a 14 and 10, putting them in 12th overall. McNay and Dallman-Weiss will head to Paris this summer and are logging some valuable training against some competition they'll see in Marseille.

In the QN 49er fleet, US Sailing Team athletes Andrew Mollerus & Ian MacDiarmid end their first day in 4th overall, while teammates and Paris 2024 Nominated Athletes Ian Barrows & Hans Henken finish the day in 8th. The 49er fleet was able to complete two races.
